French Minister of State for Higher Education and Research, Thierry Mandon, visits Naturex

French Minister of State for Higher Education and Research, Thierry Mandon, visited Naturex’s headquarters today and took an extended tour of the ORTESA Laboratory.  The ORTESA (Optimization and Research on Extraction Technologies and Alternative Solvents) unit, jointly led by Naturex and the University of Avignon aims to find eco-friendly ways of extracting botanical ingredients, using alternative solvents as well as innovative technologies.

Housed at Naturex’s headquarters, the ORTESA lab hosts a dedicated team composed of researchers from the University of Avignon and Naturex engineers.  Thierry Mandon was introduced to the team and showed great interest in the research projects.

« Ortesa is a good example of a very tight cooperation between an industrial manufacturer and the academic world. It is a mutually beneficial partnership. » said Thierry Mandon. Thierry Mandon also visited the Spring Lab, Naturex’s application laboratory. During this visit, the Minister Of State described Naturex as « one of the greatest industrial adventures of the last 15 years. »
